How Would You Quilt It? Barbara’s Tula Pink All Stars Quilt from Quilted Joy

A while back, Barbara shared a picture of her Tula Pink Polka Dot quilt top in the Quilted Joy Clubhouse. Don’t you just love the bright colors and the polka dots and stripes. She also fussy cut the circle medallions so all those circles have a cute colorful animal from the Tula Pink All Stars line. There are raccoons, owls, frogs and squirrels. It’s a lovely top and Barbara did a wonderful job of piecing it together. But how to quilt it?

During our monthly Quilted Joy Clubhouse meetings I spend a few minutes sharing how I might ...

Piece on Earth from Ann Quilts

Hello, everyone!

I haven't posted here in well over a month....

All healthy, so no worries there, in case any of you noticed my absence and were worried.  The whole situation in which we find ourselves took over my attention and energy, and certainly my ability to express it all in words.  But I’ve been busy, and here’s what I’ve been doing.  It’s been a while, so this will be long!  Grab an iced tea (in my hemisphere anyway), and settle in.

— I haven’t been doing much quilt repair.  At first, I was too ...

February Scrappy Projects from Needle and Foot

I started the month off by working on two scrappy projects. Kind of nice to play a bit and use up a few pieces from my scrap bins. Besides what else was I to do while the Super Bowl was on??

The first block I made is for the 2020 Monthly Color Challenge. The color is blue and the block was a quick make. Coincidentally, I used polka dots again this month (I used them last month too, but in yellow).

These look so happy and it is making me wonder if I should try to go for a polka ...

Welcome, fabric lovers!

Happy to say that temperatures are going down in south Florida, which just calls for the coziest of clothes! You might've seen our knits in solid and striped, but by popular demand, KNIT SPOTTED has been added! Coming in two different types of polka dots- ranging in a softer pastel palette to classic black and white. There are options for any age!

Birthday Banner & Cake Card from Scraps of My Life

Welcome back!

Today I'm sharing a recent card make for a friend's little girl, who turned six in March.  I love the colour-saturated Simple Stories birthday kits so I whipped up a quick little colourful card to put in with her gift.

Some fun polka dots and stripes, a little doily to soften some of the bold colours and hard edges and some die-cuts in the form of the cake and banner.  I popped some left-over red pearls from my Christmas cards onto the cake for a little embellishment and then stamped 'celebrate' across the bottom.

Next challenge ...
